Pilot Review Sessions (Sept 2021)
On the 1st September 2021 representatives from 21 Police Force areas came together to hear feedback from three forces that have been trailing the Version 4 Alert system. We are very grateful to each of the four forces (North Wales, West Mercia, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire) for agreeing to be the guinea pigs. This involved putting up with the daily snags and developments and helping us to shape the new V4 system. The following videos from three of those forces as they provide an overview of the process and their opinion of the new system.
North Wales Police
Supt. Helen Corcoran provides an overview of the decision making, implementation and roll out of their new alert website: www.northwalescommunityalert.co.uk, their dedicated Welsh language site: https://www.rhybuddcymunedolgogleddcymru.co.uk and their enhanced survey system: www.NorthWalesTalking.co.uk
West Mercia Police
Chief Inspector Edward Hancox provides some background regarding the pressured timeline for implementation of their new Alert system: www.NeighbourhoodMatters.co.uk which also includes the enhanced Survey Module. Ed covers the enhanced training schedule, the growth so far and the focus on quality messaging.
Police Volunteer Alan Earle has stepped into the lead role for the www.NorthamptonshireNeighbourhoodAlert.co.uk system. This presentation provides a valuable insight into the lessons learned by a long term existing force and the lessons learned during the transition to V4. The presentation on the video linked below also provides some clips of actual V4 functionality and a brief explanation of some of the new features.
