You can change which organisations can see your data at any time on the Neighbourhood Alert system, we call registered organisations "Information Providers" because they want to provide you with useful information.
You do not need to unsubscribe from the system to stop a particular "Information Provider" from seeing your details, you can simply stop that Information Provider but retain a service from others.
There are 2 different ways to change your "Information Providers", through your account settings and through the "Settings" button on an alert email
If you receive emails from Neighbourhood Alert is to click the "Settings" button that appears at the bottom of all emails. If you receive Plain text or "Compact" emails from the system, this will be a text link.
You will then need to login to your account before it will take you to the page shown below.
This will instantly take you to a page titled Unsubscribe options, if you click the button highlighted by the arrow (Click here to review your settings) it will open a dropdown menu.
This menu shows you all the Information Providers available to you and which ones you are currently sharing your details with (the ticked ones). To change which providers can see your details simply tick or untick the boxes next to the corresponding information provider.
Please note, if you want to reduce the number of message that you receive or just get ones that are more relevant to you and your interests, before you unsubscribe or remove an Information Provider, have a look at the "Types of Message" listed on the same page. You may find that you can reduce the messages and make them relevant if you simply click the types of message you dont want to receive(e.g. Traffic Alerts, Local News etc) and they will then appear in the box on the right.
Once you are happy with your changes tick the option under step 2 that reads "No, save my settings and restrict messages sent to me as configured." and then proceed to press save.
You will first need to log into your account via your alert site.
You will then be taken the Member Area page.
Proceed to click the pencil icon in the Information Providers section highlighted in the image below.
This will then bring up the page shown below with the list of information providers that you can choose from.
This menu shows you all the Information Providers available to you and which ones you are currently sharing your details with (the ticked ones). To change which providers can see your details simply tick or untick the boxes next to the corresponding information provider and proceed to press save.
