For sending out an Alert message there are a few main methods you can use, these can be accessed from: Rapport Home > Send Message.
These options as above give you a number of ways to select the recipients for your message, depending on the particular way that you would like to target those users.
Area > Insights > Message
First select an area to send to (predefined or customised), then if needed you can filter down to members of a group within this area e.g. CCTV Owners within Nottinghamshire. This option also shows the most joined groups within an area in the last 30 days, to show popular groups currently.
Message > Suggestions
Enter or copy paste message content into the editor, next the system will read your message and based on any keywords that it detects you may receive suggestion of groups and areas that this message may be relevant for. Ideal for suggestion when no defined audience for a message is known.
Search > Select Members > Message
Search for any details that are on a users account to find any users that fit that criteria, you can then select all or some of the users in the search results to send to. You can also order these user results by distance from a set location, for example, to find those users geographically close to you if attending a particular event at that time.
Send to Group
Find all users within a group for a selected area. You can then add these users to a recipient list, view those users or send a message to them directly.
