Home Office Segmentation Project
The Home Office, Research Information and Communications Unit (RICU) have developed a Serious and Organised Crime Protection, Public Interventions Model.
The project is aimed at tackling the £24bn+ cost of SOC in the UK by enabling and informing evidence based prioritisation of key audiences at a national and local level to maximise focus of resource.
NHWN and VISAV are strategic partners in the delivery of this model. A survey facility has been integrated into the Neighbourhood Alert platform which enables every registered member to undertake a self-assessment of their current susceptibility and vulnerability to typical SOC frauds and scams. Members who undertake the assessment will be automatically placed into one of eight “segmented groups” within each Police Database.
