Local Priority Targeting setups on the system can be used to target specific addresses, when performing door to door Priority Surveys. More information on this process is available here Local Priority Targeting - Targeted Engagement Module
Local Priority setups allow for targeting from your 'own data' (among many other data sources) which can be uploaded into the system. The process for uploading the 'own data' is detailed below.
Uploading data
To upload your own data, for use in a local targeting setup, first. navigate to the planning section from the main admin:
Then, on the menu, on the left side of the screen, access 'Own Dataset Targeting':
From there, you can view any datasets already created on your site, or create a new one, with the 'Add A New Dataset' button:
This will allow you to set a name and a colour for your dataset. The display colour, will be the colour of the pins that represent this dataset, which you can see when adding this dataset to a targeting setup
Once you have added a setup, you can then upload your own data to it, using the icon pictured below.
From there, you can delete data uploaded earlier or upload your own data, using the 'Select File To Upload' button.
When uploading your own data, this should be uploaded as either an XLSX/XLS spreadsheet or as a csv file as per the instructions on that page. Example files for a few upload options are provided on this page, which you can use to view the format which the data is required to be in.
As per the above instructions, there are three ways you can import address data for local targeting, these are detailed below, including screenshots for how the data should be input:
1) Using a House number/name and a postcode (make sure to include the correct spacing for the postcode).
2) Using a UDPRN (Unique Delivery Point Reference Number). This is a unique 8 digit number applied to every address.
3) Using latitude and longitude coordinates for each address
For each of these options, you will also have the option to insert a comment. This will describe the address, when inserting the own data into a targeting setup. For example, if your own data is for addresses that have completed a survey, you can denote this in the comment column.
When your data has been uploaded it should notify you if this has been successful. If any addresses fail to upload, a message should notify which of those have failed to upload.
Including Own Data in a Targeting Setup
Any Own data that has been uploaded can then be used in Targeting setups as per the following guide: Local Priority Targeting - Targeted Engagement Module
