Setting Up Targeting Lists
New Targeting setup
To Create a new Targeting setup, you can access the Area Planning section from the Main Admin.
From there, the option to create a 'New Targeting Setup' should be accessible from the left side of the screen.
Set Area
Select an area from your area structure, or create a custom area:
Example: selecting 'Nottinghamshire'
Example: creating a drawn custom area:
Local Priority Issues
After selecting an area, the priority issues for your site's priority survey should be displayed on the map. These priority issues are what members of the public have listed to be their issues in the site's priority survey, such as anti-social behaviour, speeding, burglary, etc.
On the left side of the screen, you can enable and disable the display of each priority issue on the map.
You can also change the date range for priority issues to display, using the calendar icon. For example, you can display only the priority issues that have been raised in the last month.
Finally, there are also options to select whether to display the locations of the people who have raised priority issues, or the locations of the actual priority issues. This information can be used to Target specific areas, where members of the public have listed their priority issues.
Once you have selected an area you are happy with, you can either target this area as a whole by selecting 'Target all addresses in area as hotspot', or you can filter down your area so that only certain members of the public will be included in the targeting setup.
This can be done by selecting data for the targeting setup.
Choose data for Priority Targeting
Optionally, you can then filter addresses / existing members within your selected area, using various options as listed below:
Survey Responses
Member Group Data - For registered members who have supplied these details
Member demographic data - For registered members who have supplied these details
Own Data - Uploaded custom data
Origins Groups - Predicted ethnicity groups
Specific Origins Types - Specific types within the top level groups
Acorn Types - Socio-Economic categories
View your Targeted Addresses on a Map
From the 'mapping' option you can then view the summary of those addresses / members that have been selected for targeting with this setup:
View Recommended Streets Report for your Setup
Based on this setup configuration, you can view the Recommended Streets list for these Priorities:
Save and Launch your Setup
When saving a new Targeting Setup, along with the name and a description, you can set which of your admin Teams should have access to this setup for the Surveying in Rapport. You can also set the specific survey that should be used for the door-to-door surveying, when this Targeting Setup is being used in for the face-to-face surveying.
You can also configure, for this Setup:
- If only the Priority Addresses should be shown in Street lists in Rapport
- If each Priority Address only requires action a single time (rather than regular re-surveys)
- If all addresses within the Setup area should be marked as Priority
- If the Priority Addresses should exclude the addresses of existing registered members
Launch Setup
Once the setup is launched, it will become visible to admins, to select within Rapport (or those admins within selected Teams, if specified):
Selecting a Targeting Setup in Rapport
