If you are receiving duplicate Alert messages, a possible cause for this is that more than one account with your details has been registered on the Neighbourhood Alert system.
The simplest way to resolve this would be to use the 'unsubscribe' button at the bottom of one of the duplicate messages, and from there you can then unsubscribe the account that this Alert was sent to.
This will then mean that you should only receive Alerts through your one remaining account on the system from then on.
