First Login
Prerequisites
- Before logging in on the app, please ensure that you are able to login successfully on the web version of Rapport.
- Please ensure that your device has a good internet connection for the first login
Once you have downloaded the Rapport App, when you first launch it, you will need to select your site from the list of suggested sites.
Select a site from Suggested Site list, or choose Site Not In List, if not shown
If you've already selected a site and need to change this, you can use the below steps:
Step 1 - Tap the text at the bottom to change site
Step 2 - Choose change site
Step 3 - Select a site from Suggested Site list, or choose Site Not In List, if not shown
You'll also see the current connection status of the App at the top of the screen as well, showing if it has internet connection or is offline 'App is online (version number)'.
You can then use the green login button to login to your account using your standard admin account login details, the same as the web version. Once logged in, while you have internet connection you will be able to use the Rapport admin options as you would do normally on the web version of Rapport.
Note: For the 'Add Member' option here the form will be slightly different to the standard web version, though this functions in much the same way (page title shown as 'Add Offline User' in the App). This is just to ensure that if connection is lost part-way through adding a member, that this can still be completed as an offline registration.
Note: The 'Surveys' option functions slightly different to the standard web version in that it will always use the offline functionality which will ask you if you would like to register a member at the end of completing the survey rather than at the start. This is to ensure that if connection is lost part-way through completing a survey, that this can still be completed and uploaded upon connection to the internet.
Note: While online, if you lose internet connection at any point, you will be returned to the home screen of the App, where you can make use of the offline options.
Offline Options - Add User / Priority Survey
Prerequisites
- In order to use the offline options as below you will be required to have completed a successful login within the Rapport App whilst connected to the internet at least once. This is in order for the app to download the relevant offline content for your site.
Add Member Offline
Whilst offline you can add details for members of the public, to register them for receiving Alerts. This data will be temporarily saved locally on your device, then uploaded automatically to the Alert system once you regain internet connection.
Although the layout may appear slightly different, the member details required are the same as those through the standard online 'Add Member' process via the web version of Rapport. Note: The postcode lookup is not available within this registration process whilst offline (option will be greyed out).
Offline Priority Survey
Whilst offline you can upload survey answers for the Priority Survey as has been set for your site. Using the 'Add survey offline' button you can input the answers and save those, to be uploaded when you regain internet connection. After this, you also have the option to register a new member.

Upload Offline Data for Members & Surveys
The next time you login, after you regain internet connection post completing any offline registrations or surveys, you will be prompted to upload this data to the Alert system:
If any of the registrations you have added offline are unable to match to an address correctly, you will be prompted to correct the addresses for these using the online address lookup, as below:
