Overview
With the Enhanced Survey module (for creating Priority Surveys), this allows access to the Area Planning options within the Main Admin area.
By default this section contains options for the Area Planning Map, where you can visualise information on a map, from Datasets that you may have access to: Origins / Acorn / Own Data.
Here you can also access the configuration options for the Default Targeting of your Priority Survey, this is what controls which addresses will show as 'Priority Addresses' from Rapport when admins are using the door-to-door Priority Survey approach.
If you have access to additional Datasets such as Origins and Acorn within the Alert system, you can use these here to target addresses based on combinations of this data.
Additionally, with the Targeted Engagement module, this allows access to Local Priority Targeting, which enables much more advanced targeting options, where multiple customised targeting setups can be created and run simultaneously for teams of admins to use and switch between as needed.
Area Planning Map
From the Area list options, you can select a Dataset to view details visualised on the map:
Origins postcodes - this shows postcode areas where there is a predominant non-Western European Origins group. These postcode areas can then be inspected to view predicted ethnicity breakdown, compared with the ethnicity breakdown of any registered members on the system in that area. (So showing how representative the Alert members are of the population in that area).
For the Origins groups in a given area, you can also toggle on/off which are highlighted on the map.
Acorn map - this shows for areas and individual addresses their classification per the Acorn socio-economic household data. You can toggle separately which categories and groups are highlighted on this map. You can also click on any of these addresses to view details about their Acorn classification groups.
Own targeting - this will display on the map any addresses that you have uploaded within custom datasets, each dataset can be toggled separately on/off.
These options can be used separately or you can load these datasets overlaid on each other in order to plan your engagements and surveying in your areas, based on this population data.
Default Targeting
For setting the addresses that will show as Priority Addresses in Rapport for door-to-door surveying, under Default Targeting you can do this with Acorn. Origins, or a combination of these together.
Clicking Acorn / Origins as above will allow you to simply select from a list of types, those that you wish to set as Priority for this area. Priorities that are set for lower level areas will supersede any Priorities set at a higher level, so smaller constituent areas may be set separately to each other.

Own Dataset
For any custom data that has been uploaded, these datasets can be visualised, but not used within the Default Targeting. Targeting with custom Datasets is available only within the Local Priority Targeting options, with the Targeted Engagement module.
Reporting on Interactions for Default Targeting Setup
From the main admin > reporting section, there are a number of reports relevant to the Priority Survey and Planning options:
Example Stats from Lancashire Constabulary - Lancashire Talking Survey
Interactions per administrator
This report shows the doorstep interactions performed from the Rapport Street lists, per administrator, for an Area / Date range / Targeting Setup.
Interactions per street
This report shows the doorstep interactions performed from the Rapport Street lists, per street, for an Area / Date range / Targeting Setup.
Recommended street list
This report shows a list of Streets for the selected area, with stats on the Priority Households on each street, and how many of those households have or have not been interacted with recently. This can be ordered by number of Priority Households not recently actioned and by percentage of Priority Households on that street, to assist with planning the surveying actions to be taken.
Recommended area list
This report shows the selected area and it's direct sub-areas, with stats on the Priority Households within each area, and how many of those households have or have not been interacted with recently. This can be ordered by number of Priority Households not recently actioned and by percentage of Priority Households in that area, to assist with planning the surveying actions to be taken.
Household interactions map
This report shows the doorstep interactions performed from the Rapport Street lists, plotted on a map, for an Area / Date range / Targeting Setup. Each of these interactions is colour-coded, and can be clicked into from the map to view details of: admin, interaction date, house number, postcode.
