Talking Survey: Humber Talking
The “Humber Talking” project originally developed during 2020 in close collaboration with Humberside Police, it updated our Community View survey module to enable survey delivery, team tracking, results reports, targeted messaging, automated re-surveys and much more. It has since become the example to many forces regarding how to understand areas, listen to the public, deliver effective focused communication and use the system in an operational manner for effective crime prevention.
Case Study: Chief Inspector Paul French
On the 26th March 2021, VISAV hosted the Neighbourhood Alert virtual conference. During this conference, Humberside Police Chief Inspector Paul French shared his thoughts on the Humber Talking Journey so far.
HMICFRS 2022 Inspection references Humber Talking:
Of the thirty forces that use Neighbourhood Alert for community messaging, several have taken up the Enhanced Survey module to enable them to improve the way they understand and respond to the concerns of the public. One of the most pioneering is the "Humber Talking" approach and has supported Humberside police in becoming the most improved force in the country. see the comments and 2022 Peel report below:
